Too much news, too little time? We

Sedno cuts through the noise to bring you news that’s clear, concise, and worth your time. It reads from verified sources and filters out the bias, so you can understand more, scroll less, and focus on what really matters.

From noise to essence

The word sedno comes from Polish - it means "the essence", "the very core of a thing". That’s what we’re building: a space that strips away everything unnecessary and leaves only what matters. Every day, hundreds of new articles compete for attention. Most repeat the same message, wrapped in noise, emotion and bias. Sedno cuts through that layer. Our mission is to restore trust and clarity to how people consume information. Because in the end, the truth shouldn’t depend on which headline you read first.

Our editors (a few well-trained algorithms)

Sedno constantly scans the global news stream, identifying recurring themes and events. When a subject becomes significant enough, our algorithm synthesizes it into a short, neutral summary - a balanced capsule of information. Each capsule combines multiple perspectives, backed by facts, written without noise or emotion. Soon, Sedno will expand beyond these capsules. We’re developing a "deep research" mode - a way to explore any topic through a network of reliable, human-written articles, avoiding the hallucinations of generative AI.

Why it matters

Media polarization is rising. To get the full picture, people jump between sources, cross-checking facts, comparing biases - and losing hours every day. Sedno exists to reclaim that time. We believe objectivity isn’t the absence of perspective, but the balance between them. That’s why Sedno learns what you care about, delivering only what’s relevant. We collect, filter, and simplify, so you can understand the world without scrolling through it endlessly. Our vision isn’t to replace journalism, but to refine how it’s delivered. We’re starting in Europe - a place of many languages, shared values, and a constant need for reliable context.

Join us in redefining how news feels

Sedno is still young - created by a student, soon by students - but it’s growing fast. We’re designing something we wish existed: a place that values thought over noise, balance over speed. Think you could design a site like this? Or maybe an even better one? Are you a student looking for a real project for your portfolio - one that won’t just sit on a shelf? We’re looking for a versatile designer (UI, UX and graphic) who wants to grow with us and help shape how Sedno looks and feels. If that sounds like you, reach me out on LinkedIn and let’s grab a coffee in Warsaw.
